2019 Fort Snelling Cleanup Day

The Fort Snelling Veteran's Cemetery Service Project is a day for all to help the grounds crew of the cemetery gather the old Christmas wreathes and other holiday decorations from the gravestones and to prepare the sites for the upcoming months.  Traditionally we collect almost 35,000 wreathes/decorations from the graves.  And you can be a part of it!

On Saturday February 2nd, 2019 members will assemble to take on this monumental task.  If you are interested in participating plan on arriving by 9:00 am at the "Activity Center" which is located at the corner of LaBelle and Nelson Drives.

Those attending should plan to dress for the weather, and bring any equipment they are able to.  Useful equipment includes wire cutters, sleds to pull piles of wreaths, open bed trucks, and trailers.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community we are a part of, and make a big difference in our community.  The Kaposia District hopes to see you there!
